Raqiyah is a morning show co-host on 98.7 kiss fm’s Wake Up Club. Working as a weekend DJ on Kiss FM’s sister station, Hot 97, she’s written about music, culture, politics, and women for publications like VIBE, Essence, Billboard, The Associated Press, The Source, XXL, and Complex Magazine. As a founder and former executive editor of the socially conscious hip hop magazine, The Ave, she was reporter at large for the VIBE book Unbelievable: The Life, Death, and Afterlife of The Notorious B.I.G, which is currently being turned into the movie Notorious set for release in 2009. Turn to BET and you’ll hear her as the voice of the hit TV show, College Hill. And on stage, she was a part of the 2007 New York City cast of The Vagina Monologues.

Raqiyah's work as a journalist was featured on MTV's hit reality show Making the Band II. She's also been interviewed on UPN Nightly News, BET Nightly News, The Fox News Channel's top rated talk show Hannity and Colmes, along with The New York Daily News, Newsday, Billboard, and internet sites around the world. Syndicated radio shows across America, like the ABC Network's 'Sean Hannity Show,' Fox Radio's 'Alan Colmes Show,' and the Urban Radio Network's 'Bev Smith Show,' have all had Raqiyah as a guest. Her vocal opinions have also been discussed on The View, The Howard Stern Show, and Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. A former radio personality on Sirius Satellite Radio, she produced shows for legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash. And Raqiyah is popular on the speaking circuit, having spoken at The Million Youth March, and moderated panels at music, cultural and political conferences across the country.
